Biography

Elizabeth Harris attended the State University of New York at Purchase, the University of Massachusetts, and received her degree in performance from Western Connecticut University.  She has studied with Michael Mennone, Candace Channing, Joanne Tanner and Thomas Nyfenger, Professor of Flute at Yale University.  She has participated in the master classes of Paula Robison and Julius Baker.

Elizabeth has performed in the Fairfield Chamber Ensemble and the Norwalk Symphony, and has concertized throughout New England and New York.  She has performed with the Christ Chorale and with Igor Kipnis.  Ms. Harris has also performed extensively with her mother, pianist Norine Harris.

Elizabeth has taught privately for the past 28 years in Fairfield County.  She is an avid gardener, and now lives in Vermont with her husband Robert,  and her son Elliot.
